Midnight Goddess magazine is loosely based off of the Greek Goddess Nyx.
In Greek mythology, Nyx is the goddess and image of the night. She is the offspring of Chaos.
Midnight is 12:00 a.m., the beginning of a new day and the end of the previous one, representing a transition from one day to the next.
Midnight is not always dark because of the "midnight sun" phenomenon, where the sun remains visible at midnight in places north of the Arctic Circle or south of the Antarctic Circle during their summer months.
Midnight Goddess magazine also honors the midnight sun. A natural event where the sun is visible for 24 hours a day, including at midnight. This is not a magazine that has to be full of dark imagery as midnight is a subjective word and has so many beautiful meanings.
